Cadets will participate in safe, engaging on-water training in a nautical environment at CNS Barrie (Cadet Nautical Site).
- Training to include introduction to sailing, powerboating, on-water safety.
- All cadets are provided with a PFD (Personal Flotation Device) and helmet (sailing) under close supervision and instruction.

- All cadets are encouraged to sign up.
- Intent is for cadets to participate in 1-day on-water training at CNS Barrie.
- Selection preference is cadets who have not yet participated in on-water training at CNS Barrie.

- Sun 13 Sep = 20 Cadets (Participants) + Support Cadets (Sr Cadets)
Transportation: Bussing is provided.
Drop-Off: 0630 (6:30am) at Peel Regional Police (PRP) HQ, 7150 Mississauga Rd, Mississauga
Pick-Up: 1730 (5:30 pm) at Peel Regional Police (PRP) HQ, 7150 Mississauga Rd, Mississauga
(Do Not go to 180 Derry Rd or Brampton Armoury)
Meals: Lunch is provided.
– Cadets to identify meal preference (regular/vegetarian) at sign-up.
– Cadets to eat breakfast prior to drop-off at Armoury each morning.
– Cadets may bring snacks (Nut / Allergy Free Snacks Only)
– Full / Refillable Water Bottle (plastic) is required.
Training Location: CNS Barrie (Cadet Nautical Site), 9A Simcoe St, Barrie, ON
Kit / Clothing: All cadets to bring civilianclothing suitable for on-water activities
Be prepared for changing weather conditions, warm clothing, rain jacket
– Backpack with all kit ready for on-water activities
– Closed toed shoes only (water shoes, crocks – no open sandals, flip-flops)
– Sunscreen
– Hat
– Sailing gloves – Optional
– Glasses / Sunglasses
– Safety Strap (Glasses)
– Change of dry clothes
– Full / Refillable Water Bottle (plastic) is required.
Safety
– CNS Barrie will provide a PFD (Personal Flotation Device) and Helmet
– For safety, wearing a PFD and Helmet is mandatory
– Hair must be neat and tied back to wear helmet
– Earrings must be stud only
